The Perspective Behind the Practice
Tsaphah Defense was founded by Jason Hall, a responsible civilian, instructor and lifelong student of personal protection and preparedness.
This civilian perspective shapes the work. Clients must apply what they learn within homes, workplaces, places of worship, public settings and other everyday environments. Instruction must therefore be practical, legally grounded and appropriate to each client’s responsibilities and demonstrated proficiency.
Firearms are one component of preparedness. Responsible protection also requires awareness, disciplined practice, thoughtful planning, clear communication and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Training and Professional Development
Since 2008, the founder of Tsaphah Defense has pursued continuing education across multiple protection and preparedness disciplines, including instructor-led training through SIG Sauer Academy and other professional training providers.

Pistol and rifle courses and progressive skill-building programs
Executive-protection training, including practical range applications and vehicle-convoy exercises
Surveillance-detection and counter-surveillance training with practical application
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care instructor certification and train-the-trainer development
Force-on-force and scenario-based training
Continued development remains an essential part of the Tsaphah Defense standard. Training methods, legal considerations, equipment and real-world risks continue to evolve. Responsible instruction requires ongoing study, disciplined practice and honest evaluation.

We work primarily with individuals through private instruction and advisory engagements. Some training may be conducted in intentionally small groups when the participants’ proficiency, responsibilities and objectives support that format.
